Gladys A. Daugherty

Crisfield, MD—Gladys A. Daugherty, 74, of Potomac Street here, died at her home Thursday, May 6, 1993, of acute myocardial infarcation.

She was born in Crisfield, MD, a daughter of the late Walter R. Anklam and Hattie Christy Anklam. Her stepmother, Ruth Tilghman Anklam, died in 1973. Her husband, E. Ray Daugherty, died in 1974.

Daugherty was a retired librarian for the Lillian Stratton Corbin Library in Crisfield. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Crisfield, where she was a long time member of the church choir, a past president of the United Methodist Women, and a member of the Wharton Sunday School Class and Circle 4.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held today at 2 p.m. at Sunnyridge Memorial, near Crisfield. Pastor Bill S. Wilson will officiate.

Arrangements are being handled by Bradshaw and Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield.
