She was born March 29, 1922 in Sharon, a daughter of Dominic and Angeline Mancini Albanese.
She was a member of Hickory High School's graduating class of 1940.
She began working at a young age for the Fred W. Kloos Oil Co., Sharon, and at Camp Reynolds in civilian personnel. She also worked at the former Johnson Co., a wholesale and retail lumber supply company in Sharon, as well as for the company successor, Moss Lumber Co. Her last employment was with the unemployment office in Sharon.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Sharon.
In her spare time she enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and playing bingo. She was a member of Sons of Italy Shenango Valley Lodge 875, Sharon.
Her husband, Steve Mentrick, whom she married June 1, 1946, passed away July 22, 1998.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille "Lucy" V. McClafferty and Jean R. Morford; and three brothers, Frank J., Herman and William N. Albanese.
Interment: St. Mary's Cemetery, Hermitage.
