Bertha Jonetta Johnson was the daughter of Harold Johnson, born in 1878 in Norway, and Elizabeth Handeland Johnson, born in 1889 in Bergen, Norway. Elizabeth and Ole were married 4 Jan 1908 in Estherville, Iowa and took up farming in High Lake, Iowa where they had 3 children: Bertha born in 1909, Carl born in 1920, and Bernard in 1911. Harold passed away before 1920 and Elizabeth moved with her 3 children to the home of Ole Tenneson in Wisconsin. Elizabeth and Ole married in the early 1920's but he passed away in 1924. Elizabeth and Ole are buried in the Riverside Cemetery.
