Mrs. Jos. Vogel Dies at Green Bay

Maplewood – Funeral services were held Saturday at 9 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic Church here for Mrs. Joseph W. Vogel, 55, who died Thursday at her home in Cloverleaf a short time after she had returned, apparently restored to heath, from a Green Bay hospital where she was operated on two weeks ago. An embolism was the cause of death.

The Rev. Fr. J. N. Diny officiated at the services. Burial was in the church cemetery. The pallbearers were Emil Spaid, Geo. Frando, Frank Stauber, George Kohlbeck, Alex Bretl, and John Holdmann.

Mrs. Vogel was an active member of the Christian Mothers Society. The former Barbara Tenor, she was born Jan. 17, 1885 in Nasewaupee, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Tenor Sr. In 1911 she was married to Joseph W. Vogel. The couple made their residence in Missouri a few years, later returning to Door County.

Survivors are the husband and five children, Joseph Jr., Cloverleaf, Ann, Marie, Henry, at home; and Edward, Green Bay; four brothers, Anton of Gardner, Edward and Peter of Nasewaupee, and Geo. Of Algoma.

Out of town people attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Wallace, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vogel and son, Trenary, Mich; Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Tenor, Peter J. Tenor, John Tenor, all of Cato; Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Riederer, Mrs. Alvia Kramer, Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Vogel and Mrs. Anton Kohlbeck, all of Manitowoc; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kellner and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Reberchek, Kellnersville; Mrs. Frances Herman daughter and son, Mrs. Sylvester Newman and daughter; Mrs. Peter Shimek of Whitelaw; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Wedock, Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Will Dahms, Shawano, and Elizabeth Daniel, Green Bay.
