In Taunton, June 3, 2013, Alyce H. Corr, age 97, passed away at home following a period of declining health. She was the widow of the late William L. Corr. Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late William J. & Anna (Murphy) Hanrahan and step daughter of the late Margaret (Harrigan) Hanrahan. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School. She was employed at Reed & Barton Co. for a few years and later for the U.S. government as a private secretary to Major Ralph Jarris. Alyce was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. She was a member of the Weir Seniors, the Greater Taunton Gaelic Society, the Queens Daughters, Police Wives Association and the Friends of the Taunton Public Library. Alyce also enjoyed music, reading and writing poetry. Alyce is survived by her daughter Margaret "Peggi" A. Brown & her husband Ronald of Taunton. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and her dear friend Evelyn Mastromarino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Church in Taunton on Friday, June 7, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours prior to the service from 9 to 10 a.m. at the O'Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Taunton.
