Mary E. Johnson, 90, of Warren, MN, passed away on Monday evening, June 10, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren..

Mary E. Sabol was born on July 27, 1922 at Dunlo, PA, the daughter of Mike and Mary (Stano) Sabol. The family moved in 1925 to Warren. She attended country school and Alvarado High School. She married Walter C. Johnson on November 14, 1947 in Warren. They made their home near Argyle where they farmed. Walter died on July 13, 2000. Mary moved to the Good Samaritan Center in 2003.

She enjoyed gardening, baking, listening to Lawrence Welk music and taking care of her plants. Mary spent her young life taking care of her many brothers and sisters. Many years were given to the care of her husband.

Surviving are two sisters, Lucille Kjos of Thief River Falls, MN and Julia (Fred) Nicholls of Warren, MN; sister-in-law, Susan Sabol of Minneapolis, MN and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and nine brothers.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 11:00 AM on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Warren, MN. VISITATION: One hour before services at the church. INTERMENT: Calvary Cemetery, Warren, MN.
