Clevy was half-brother to Arnold Kelly Shelby. They were very close. Clevy was also my grandfather - I lived with him and my grandmother from my birth until I was old enough to start school and was very close to him. He was a successful farmer in the Earth, Lamb Co. area. I love telling that his favorite singer was Teresa Brewer when she sang the song "Bo-Weevil". He would sit in his big chair and tap his foot and smile from ear to ear. He thought she was such a pretty girl. He once brought a piglet to the house for me to take care of - it's mother would not take care of it. He loved his family with all his heart. I miss him still today.
