Dorvin was the Third child of Vallie Hershel and Jessie Ethel (King) Harris, and the Grandson of Benjamin H. and Sarah (Jacobs) Harris, and the Grandson of Melvin and Sarah Ann (Bogan) King, and the Great Grandson of John and Aletha (Wells) Harris. He Married Theora J. Stott on March/19/1948, and together they had four children, they were, Larry Harris, Galand Mike Harris, Doran V. Harris, and Jeneva Lou Harris who died at a young age. Dorvin was Manager of the Sheridan American Legion until his retirement in 1982 and previously attended bar at the Watts Lunch in Sheridan. Dorvin was also a World War 11 Army veteran. He was 69 years old when he died.
