Poole was the co-owner of the Cole Automotive Dealership in Abilene until the Cole Company closed in 1925 and he then became Abilene insurance agent.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyne; two sons, David Robertson, and his wife, Gloria, and Poole Robertson, Jr., and his wife, Ruth, of Abilene among others.
