Barton Kelsey Hulett, of Bronson, FL, passed away in Gainesville, FL on Saturday, June 8, 2013. He was born in Kansas City, MO on March 20, 1934. He became an Eagle Scout, earned a Bachelor's degree from Wm. Jewell College, and a Bachelor in Divinity Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He worked in the family business, Hulett Glass Corp in Clearwater, FL, and was the owner/operator of a nursery, including a blueberry farm. He attended several area churches and had been Pastor at Mount Pleasant Baptist in High Springs, FL, First Baptist in Archer, FL, Westside Baptist in Hollywood, FL, and the Bronson Bible Church in Bronson. He served on mission trips to Haiti, Nicaragua, and Honduras. He enjoyed history, geology, cooking, fishing, operating his own sawmill and spending time with his family. He loved studying the Bible and serving God.
Mr. Hulett was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alice Hulett, and a brother Donald Hulett. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Donna Lea Simpson Hulett; his daughter Stephanie Lynn Hulett (Donald) Smith, three sons Thomas Kelsey Hulett, Seth Barton (Tina) Hulett, Sr., and Andrew Simpson Hulett; a brother George Curtis Hulett, Jr.; five grandchildren Max (Esther) Grondahl, Warren (Adriennne) Smith, Saralynn (Joel) Stilianou, Seth Hulett, Jr., and Candace Hulett; and four great grandchildren Sophie Stilianou, Nathan Grondahl, Braelynn Hulett, and Alaina Smith.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Bronson Road Church 13830 NE 80th Avenue Bronson, FL 32621 with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow in Rosemary Hill Cemetery in Bronson, FL.
