Laura Ann Richardson was the second child and only daughter of Allen Hezekiah Richardson and his second wife, Sarah Ann Ogden Richardson. She married Ara Edward Murray in 1893 in Ripley County, Indiana. Laura and Ara had four children; Cora (1893-1935), Roy Edward (1895-1899), Benjamin Stanton (1897-1982), and Gilbert Edward (1899-1965). Laura perished at 32 years of age from an undiagnosed heart condition.
