YOAKAM, DAVID LOREN, was born September 2, 1929, in Columbus, OH and passed away in Louisville, on October 19, 2012 where he resided for the past 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, L.R. and Helen Yoakam; and wife, Bertha (Stoess) Yoakam.
Mr. Yoakam served in the United States Army as a staff sergeant from 1947 -1957, during post World War II occupation and the Korean War. He was retired from the State of Kentucky.
He is survived by his three children, Dwight Yoakam, Ronald Yoakam and Kimberly Yoakam Leslie (Jim); two granddaughters, Lindsey Leslie and Macey Leslie; and two brothers, Lawrence Yoakam and Robert Yoakam.
