Mr. Cary was born in Elm City, North Carolina, and moved to Fort Pierce in 2007 coming from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1976 as Major. He served in Vietnam during 1966-1967, 1970-1971. He was awarded many citations including a bronze star with oak leaf cluster.
Survivors include a daughter, a son, a brother, a sister, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter.
