Oscar R. Grass, 93, of Ste. Genevieve, died Monday, July 4th at Riverview at the Park Care and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born November 6th, 1911 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of Frank X. and Johanna (Schilly) Grass who both preceded him in death.
He married Catherine Kavanaugh on September 24th, 1931. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include: 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Larry R. and Marie Grass, Roger W. and Sharon Grass, and Terry L. and Clarita Grass; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Clifford Joggerst; a daughter-in-law, Donna Grass; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by: a son, Jim Grass; eight brothers, Harry, Andrew, Edward, Alfred, Norman, Joseph, George and Herbert Grass; six sisters, Elizabeth Zerwig, Julietta Baechle, Katherine Fallert, Marie Grass, Genevieve Newheisel and Sr. Jane Francis Grass.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1037.
Burial in the Valle Spring Cemetery.
