Liceria R. Chapa, 80, passed away on June 11, 2013 with her family by her side. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Thomas Chapa. Liceria was a member of the Catholic Daughters and Las Guadalupanas. She was a parishioner at Holy Family Catholic Church. Liceria was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her mother, Manuela Rodriguez, her 8 children; Adolfo (Maria) Chapa, Janie (Guillermo) Suarez, Juan (Sandra) Chapa, Thomas Chapa Jr., Gloria (Reginaldo) Velasquez, Margarita (Manuel) Morin, Enrique (Rosa) Chapa and Arturo (Corina) Chapa, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, 22 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dominique Chapa, Thomas Chapa III, Enrique Chapa, Jr., Jacob A. Chapa, Carlos Chapa, Arturo Chapa Jr., Alonzo Garza, Jr. and Joshua Chapa.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 16, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be held at 7:00 P.M. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church with interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
