Funeral services for Edward Franklin Arey, 84,, who died at 1351 Sixth Street yesterday after a sudden and brief illness, will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock in the Johnson-Saum Chapel at Fourth and Ash Streets. Rev. Howard B. Bard will officiate. Interment will be private at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Arey, the father of Louis M. Arey, of the Arey-Jones Company and Mrs. Edward W. Chapman, both of this city, had been a resident of San Diego for 41 years, having come here in August 1885. He and his wife, who died in September, 1925, were both well known among the older residents of the community. He suffered a stroke of paralysis a week ago and never recovered consciouseness.
