FRIEDA LUBBEN BJORENSON
Frieda Lubben Bjorenson, 91, of Anamosa died Friday December 24, 2004 at the Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa following a brief illness.
Funeral services were held 10:30a.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Anamosa. The Rev Jerry Egel officiated at the service. Interment was at Wayne Zion Cemetery, rural Monticello.
Survivors include two sons, Loren (Kay) Lubben of Maquoketa, Richard (Betty) of Anamosa; one daughter, Nancy (Dick) Stout of Anamosa; seven grandchildren, Jeff, Terrie, Doug, Allen, Angie, Ben, Jeff; six great grandchildren, Matthew, Luke, Courtney, Allison, Romina and Kyle: one sister, Elsie Wacker of Monticello and one brother, Richard Tjaden of Monticello.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, William Lubben and William Bjorenson, and three brothers, Henry Tjaden, John Tjaden and Rudy Tjaden.
Frieda was born January 30, 1913 Southeast of Monticello. She was the daughter of Herman and Wilhelmine Langerenkin Tjaden. She attended schools at Farley, Cascade, Bellevue and Kimball South Dakota. In 1934 her family moved north of Cass Center in Jones County.
On April 29, 1938 she married William Lubben at St. Peter & Paul Lutheran Church Castle Grove by Rev. Arnold Thalacker. The coupe farmed in the Cass Township area. William Lubben died on March 11, 1968. In 1969 she started working for Dr. Fisher, where she worked for 14 years. On September 33, 1983 she married William Bjorenson and the couple moved to Springville. William Bjorenson died on March 19, 1994. Frieda was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church Anamosa.
