HOLDERITH - Ethel, nee Coomber, 84, of Wyckoff, entered into eternal rest on March 29, 2007.
She was a graduate of Rutherford High School, received her teaching degree from Trenton State College, and earned an MA from Columbia University.
Mrs. Holderith was a music teacher in the Wyckoff, Ridgewood, and Fairlawn school systems, and had also been music director for Pfizer Corp. in New York City prior to her retirement in 1993. She continued with her music as choir director at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ridgewood where she had been a member since 1949. This is the same church where she met and married her husband William in 1953.
She is survived by her loving sons Robert and his wife Maureen, Thomas and his wife Donna all of Wyckoff, and Charles of Roxbury, NY. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Katherine, Sarah, Alexander, Peter, Matthew, and Rosalie.
Mrs. Holderith was predeceased by her husband William.
A memorial service was held on Sunday April 15th at 2:00PM at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ridgewood. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to the Women of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Ridgewood would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home, Ridgewood
