She was born June 3, 1931 in East Smithfield, Pa. the daughter of Thomas and Katherine Lane Foster. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed taking care of people. She lived for her family. She was employed by the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. for 25 years as a registration clerk.
She is predeceased by sisters Lillian Ackley, Jean Card, Betty Riley and Dorothy Stone, and a brother Richard Foster.
She is survived by a son, Donald and Karen Babcock of Athens, Pa.; grandchildren, Carol and Beuth of Toronto, Canada, Rikki and Jeff Whalen of Athens, Pa., Douglas Babcock of Athens and his fiance Judi Hubert of Binghamton, N.Y.; four great grandchildren; sisters Margaret Allen of South Waverly and Lucille and Thomas Maustellar of Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family may call from noon until 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2005 at the Calvary Baptist Church, 701 W. Pine St., Athens, Pa. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Barrett officiating.
Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home, Inc.
Burial will be in the Tioga Point Cemetery in Athens, Pa.
