Viola M. Krom, 76, died Nov. 11 at the Memorial Home for the Aged in Moundridge. Born in McPherson Sept. 16, 1908, to Roy and Sophia Anderson Garrelts, she married Vern M. Krom Nov. 11, 1944, at Denver, Colo. He died Aug. 11, 1957. Mrs. Krom was a lifetime resident of McPherson and a retired teacher. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Lydia Circle. She was also a member of the Retired Teachers Association.

Survivors include a son, Lynn Krom, and a daughter, Louise Stout, McPherson; five sisters, Beulah Garst, Mildred Kennedy and Evelyn Lillian, all of McPherson; Edith Lutz, Colorado Springs; and Frances Lafferty, Canton.

Services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Harold E. Nelson in First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Ball and Son Chapel.

Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church, the M.S. Society, or to the Memorial Home for the Aged in Moundridge.
