TALLULAH, La., March 9. — (Special) — Funeral services for A. E. Adams, leading business man and esteemed citizen of Tallulah, who died suddenly on the street here yesterday of cerebral hemorrhage, were held from the family home this afternoon. Rev. C. K. Smith of the Methodist church, and Rev. H. N. Alexander of the Presbyterian church, conducted the services.

Mr. Adams, the son of a pioneer family in Madison parish, was born February 26, 1862, near Tallulah and spent his entire life in this parish. He had been since early manhood engaged in the plantation business and was for a number of years a member of the firm of Adams, Ziegler company, leading merchants of this section. He later withdrew from the firm to devote his entire time to his planting interests and real estate. He was a director of the Tallulah State Bank and Trust company, and one of the owners of the Planters Gin company.

Mr. Adams was married in 1904 to Mr. Callie Montgomery Brooks, who survives him. Other survivors are two sons, Will and Cliff Adams of Tallulah, two grandchildren, three stepdaughters, Mrs. Henry Sevier, Miss Addison Brooks of Tallulah, Mrs. Gus Willett of Alexandria and a sister, Mrs. A. L. Lane of Tallulah.

Pallbearers were W. M. Scott, Maxwell Yerger, Dr. H. C. Sevier, P. O. Benjamin, W. W. Ziegler and L. M. Spencer.
