He was born in Chicago, to Rolf and Esther (Saylor) Beutlich.
He proudly served in World War II with the Army 6th Division, Company F, Asiatic-Pacific Theater and was active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was employed by Channels 5 and 11 in Chicago in TV broadcast engineering and also was engineer and CEO of United Industries and engineer and president of Rebco Industries. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, gardening and Strange Physics. He was a founding member of the United States Psychotronics Association from 1975 - 2009, serving as conference organizer and secretary-treasurer from 1981 - 2007. He also was a 6th Division reunion organizer and newsletter from 2000 - 2007.
He is survived by his children, Keith (Char) Beutilich of Lake Villa, Terry Berglund of Cumming, GA and Scott (Michelle) Beutilich of Crystal Lake; 12 grandchildren, Dustin, Ashley and Montana, James, Dana, Miranda, Courtney, Stanley, Sheila, Marcy, Mariah, and Shaun; two great-grandchildren, Tony and Andre; and his brother, James Beutlich.
He was preceded death by his wife, Ruth in 1994; his parents, Rolf and Esther Beutilich; a great-grandchild, Tyler; and a brother, Sonny Beutilich in 1988.
