Keith Alan Schlussler, 51, passed away, Tuesday, August 30, 2005 in Sandpoint, Idaho. Private family services have been held.
Keith was born on June 21, 1954 in El Paso,Tx. to Charles and Carol Schlussler. His father was in the military so the family moved often when Keith was a child. He graduated high school in Wheatland, CA., and went on to receive a degree in animal sciences at the College of the Redwoods in Eureka, CA.
Keith served in the Peace Corp in Ecuador. This is where he met and married Julie McCallan, July 6, 1986. The couple purchased a small farm in Kansas where they started a family. Keith farmed and worked as a carpenter to support the family. In 1999 they moved to Sandpoint where Julie went to work at the Waldorf School as a teacher.
Keith enjoyed gardening, carpentry and reading. He will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, sense of humor and beautiful gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Julie McCallan of Sandpoint, ID.; a daughter Megan Schlussler of Sandpoint, ID.; a son, Ethan Schlussler of Sandpoint, ID.; his parents, Chuck and Carol Schlussler of Wheatland, CA., three brothers, Mike Schlussler of Wheatland, CA.; John Schlussler of Sacramento, CA.; and Gary Schlussler of Grass Valley, CA.; and a sister, Vicki Booen of Tucson, AZ.
