Daughter of Nathan A. and Amanda Henderson Hanner. Wife of Thomas Waugh.

Elizabeth Hanner Waugh, 95, of 1425 Hwy. 62 E., Climax, died Monday, Feb. 26, 1996, at her home.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm St. Chapel. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.

A native of Guilford Co., she was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Church Circle. She attended the North Carolina College for Women, which is now UNC-G.

She was the wife of the late Thomas Benton Waugh, and mother of the late Benton A. Waugh.

Survivors include her daughters, Doris Waugh of the home, and Martha Teague of Raleigh; sons, James M. "Jim" Waugh and Robert "Bob" Waugh both of Greensboro, William "Bill" Waugh of Franklinville, and John Waugh of Climax; 14
grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
