Willie Ed Anderson, paint contractor of Pickens, died December 22 at the Veterans Administration Center in Jackson. He was 57.
Mr. Anderson was born February 13, 1925 in Holmes County. He was a member of Cypress Grove Church and a veteran of World War Two. He was the son of the late Mrs. Rosa Washington Anderson.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 26 at Cypress Grove Church. The Rev. Jimmy Walker was the officiating minister.
Survivors include his wife, Mr. Ora D. Anderson of Pickens: five sons, Willie, Wilburn, Billy, Earl Anderson, all of Pickens and James Anderson of Jackson: six daughters, Christine McMichael of Salisbury, Maryland, Virginia Anderson of Newport News, Virginia, Sandra Anderson of Jackson, Delores, Diane and Glenda Anderson, all of Pickens; six sisters, Mrs. Emma Washington and Mrs. Carrie Bell, both of Chicago. Illinois, Aliene Rimmer of Englewood, California, Ethel Mae Washington of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Essie Taylor of Jackson and Dorothy Rimmer of Grenada; five brothers, Earl Lee Anderson, David Johnson, R.J. Washington, Alfonzo Johnson, all of Pickens and Jimmy Anderson of Canton; and eleven grandchildren.
Burial was in Anderson Cemetery with Worthey Funeral Home of Pickens in charge of arrangements.
