He was an Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.
He has been a resident of Torrance, California since the early 1960's. He is survived by his wife, Felicitas Gonzlaez Chapa and his children, Rolando and Belinda Chapa both of Torrance, Ca. He was predeceased by his 2 yr old son, Rosendo Chapa and his father Jose Chapa Sr. Also survived by his mother Elena and his brother Reynaldo Chapa and sisters Rebecca and Maria of Wilmington, California.
