Williams, Allen Lee, 88, of Paden City, finished his earthly journey and entered into heaven's celebration with his Savior on June 2, 2011.

He was born in Robbinsville, NC, on March 27, 1923, to the late Oliver and Nancy Burchfield Williams.

Allen was a long-time member and faithful servant at First Baptist Church in Paden City. You could often find him reading and studying his Bible or playing his guitar while enjoying gospel music. He was a retired foreman from Ormet and a World War 2 veteran who loved his country. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time outdoors. He has left his family an incredible heritage of love, kindness, patriotism and faith.

In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Edna Williams, four sisters and three brothers.
Surviving are his chi
ldren, Linda (Creed) Randolph of Murfreesboro, TN and Marvin (Bonnie) Williams of Paden City, WV; two sisters, Lucy (Geter) Jenkins and Hazel (Hugh) Anderson of Maryville TN; 6 grandchildren, Kevin (Terri) Randolph, Brent (Cindy) Randolph, Nathan (Christina) Williams, Gregg (Jessica) Randolph, Sheryl (Jay) Rao, and Kristin (Jared) Shank; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, Paden City. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church (Paden City).

Interment Paden Memorial Gardens in New Martinsville, WV (north end of Paden City).

Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Honor Guard of Sistersville, Paden City and New Martinsville.

Memorial contributions may be made in Allen's name to Journey Hospice, 314 S. Wells St., Sistersville, WV 26175.
