Sergeant Edward Bushill aka Bushell served during the Civil War in Company A, 69th Pennsylvania Infantry. He fought at the Battle of Gettysburg during the repulse of Pickett's Charge on July 3rd, 1863. He was at the wall in front of the copse of trees in the center of the Union line.

He also previously served in Company A, 24th Pennsylvania Infantry.Sgt. 69th Pennsylvania Volunteers.Company A Removed from Alexandria National Cemetery to Cathedral. There is a family marker in the area but without his inscription.
