"The Journal-Telephone", Milton Junction, Wisconsin, Thursday, Aug. 4, 1921, p 1.

Maryette Alder was born in Western, Oneida County, New York, October 9, 1845, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. P. Marquart, July 20, 1921.

She was married to Artemus Wilmarth July 30, 1870, at Hamilton, Nev. He died on June 27, 1903. Since then she has made her home with her children. She leaves to mourn her loss, one son, Fred Wilmarth, of Plankinton, S. Dak., and three daughters, Mrs. D. P. Marquart of Milton Junction, Mrs. Viola Jones, Racine, Wis., and Mrs. H. B. Dunwell of Milton; also nine grandchildren; and an adopted son, Willie Ames, of Milton, whom she cared for until he grew to young manhood. She also leaves one brother, Alvin Alder, of Edgerton, Wis., and the following sisters: Mrs. Alma Garrison of Oshkosh, Mrs. Eliza Forncrook, Eugene, Oregon, and Mrs. Frances Addie, Whitewater, Wis.

In the death of Mrs. Wilmarth, many people in this community will feel keenly the loss of a woman whose great kindness and sympathy has for a long period characterized her, brought her to the consideration of all who knew of her life and her works.

The funeral was conducted by Rev. Webster Miller, of Janesville.
