CHAPIN - William Butler Browder, 62, of Chapin, son of the late James William Browder and Myrtle Hodge Browder, suffered a massive heart attack and passed away June 15, 2013.

Butler was a 1969 graduate of Dreher High School and attended the University of South Carolina. He was a carpenter and worked his entire career as a builder/construction crew supervisor.

He is survived by his children, Katy Browder Kingsmore (Mike) of Columbia, and Matthew Butler Browder of Chapin, his sisters, Margaret A. Moore of Waynesville, NC, and Joan B. Eubanks (Wayland) of Jefferson, SC, and a brother, William Archie Ard of West Columbia, SC. He had four grandchildren, Katalena Browder, Brailyn Browder, Lee Kingsmore and Landon Clark.
