Mrs. Wright was born December 24, 1924 in Warwick, NY a daughter of Arthur and Louise Rutan Quackenbush. She graduated from Warwick High School.
During WWII she was a civilian nurse's aide at Ft. Dix where she met her husband Theodore G. Wright, Jr., they were married April 5, 1947 in Bellevale, NY. Mr. Wright died in December of 1989. After her husband's death she moved from Cayuga to Auburn where she resided at Schwartz Towers.
Mrs. Wright was a secretary for the Union Spring Central School District and Cayuga Lake National Bank, where she was also a teller. She was a member of the Cayuga United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons and their wives; James W. and Carol, Watertown and Ronald D. and Jeannie, Herndon, VA, two brothers and their wives; David and Dorothy Quackenbush and Richard and Linda Quackenbush, all of Warwick, NY, a sister Marion Marian, Santa Maria, California, eight grandchildren; Mrs. Nathaniel Allison Nugent, Connor and Alec Wright, Heather Wright, Brigid Wright, Erin Wright, Casey Wright and Kylie Wright, two great grandchildren; Charlotte and Emmett Nugent. A son Phillip, three brothers Robert, Arthur and Dudley and three sisters Thelma, Jean and Phyllis all died before her.
Calling hours will be 4 until 7 pm on Wednesday at the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral service conducted by the Langham Funeral Home, Auburn, will be Saturday at 1 pm Cayuga United Methodist Church, Cayuga followed by burial at Lakeview Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St. Rd., Watertown, NY or to the Cayuga United Methodist Church, 6201 Center Street, Cayuga, NY 13034.
