Bertie raised her four daughters and then raised her two grand children.

Her father was a shoe builder in Chattanooga Tn.,he died at her home while on a visit to Detroit, where he was buried.

Bertie moved many times after she married, living in Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan. She made many friends where ever she went and they lasted her life time.

She would sit in her rocking chair to listen to the radio shows with her grandchildren. Her grand daughter Anna could not speak of her without crying until her own death at age 82. A tribute to a great love.

The photo is of Bertie's husband and her four daughters.
