Annie Dorthea Stewart was the fourth
of five (5) children born to Arthur
Stewart, and Frances "Fannie"
Blount-Stewart-[Batchelor], in
Detroit, Michigan.

She was the grand-daughter of Howard and
Sarah Wallace-Stewart, and,
Joseph and Mary Lou Lomax-Blount,
of Robert, Jones, Georgia.

Her siblings were; Lois, Ruby,
Louise, William (Bill), Mitchell,
Oscar, and Verla Mae.

Annie received her education within
the Detroit Public School system,
graduating from Hamtramck High School
in 1941.

She was united in marriage with
Alexander Ferrell-Smith, of
Troup, Georgia, in 1946. To this union
four (4) sons were born; Alexander Butch, JR.,
Alvin Samuel, Kenneth Calvin,
and Gregory Peck. Rodney Maurice Stewart.

Annie was an excellent industrious
wife, mother, and an exceptional
person overall. When her boys were
old enough she entered the workforce.
Based on her caring spirit, she
selected Nursing Care as her
profession, in Detroit, Michigan.
She retired with over twenty-five (25)
years of dedicated service, in 1987.

Her passion was arts & craft.
She was very talented with knitting
and crocheting. She was also
continually working with ceramics,
making gorgeous keepsakes for all of
her family members. She adored
primarily antique dolls maintaining
a beautiful collection.

Her greater passion was our Lord
and Savior, Jesus Christ. Annie was
a dedicated and faithful Church attendee.
She loved sharing whatever she had
learned with every opportunity.

Although diagnosed with cancer,
she didn't allow this to stop her
from serving the Lord or enjoying
her life .. in fact, it seemed to
strengthen her faith.
