Shawnee resident Helen (Jack) Gibbs Seibel, 92, passed away Sunday, June 26, at a local nursing home.
She was born March 23, 1913, in Bartlesville to Herman Joshua Jack and Mary (Polm) Jack.

Helen grew up in Clara, Texas, and moved to Wichita Falls, Texas, with her family when she was 10 years old.

She graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1930. Helen was employed by the Shamblin Photography Studio. In 1940 she moved to Lubbock, Texas, where she owned and operated the Photocraft Studio until her retirement in 1979.

Helen was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Lubbock, Texas, and St. Benedict Catholic Church.

In 1990 she became a resident of Colonial Estates Nursing Home until moving to Shawnee Care Center where she had resided since November 2000.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John "Jack" Seibel; two brothers, Cecil Earl Jack and Herman Joshua Jack Jr. and a sister, Bonnie Ruth Jack Bell.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Bonnie Garrett Jack of Shawnee; nephew, Michael Steven Jack of Shawnee; three nieces, Reba Sue Pipes of Lubbock, Mary Lou Scoph of Fort Worth, Texas, and Rae Ann Irick of Savannah, Ga.; several great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Cemetery, Lubbock, under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Merle Davis, Shawnee Care Center, and to Shawnee Heartland Hospice.
