Carol J. Degitz, 80, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Carol worked as an Administration Assistant with Internal Revenue Service for 15 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Clear Lake Lutheran Church and enjoyed holiday family time, traveling, music and spending time at the lake. Surviving are her son, Jeff (Janie) Degitz of Fort Wayne; daughters, Susan (Roger) Dammeier of Clear Lake IN and Pamela (Ken) Townsley of Huntertown; grandchildren, Thomas (Michelle) Dammeier, Nicole (Andrew) Strasser, Joseph (Megan) Degitz, Kristin Dammeier, Anthony Degitz, Kathryn (Kelby) Probst, Stephanie Degitz, Andrew Townsley and Danielle Degitz and 6 great grandchildren; brother, Richard Ernsting of Zanesville, OH Carol was preceded in death by her parents Walter H and Erna P Ernsting and husband, Thomas R Degitz.
