"FUNERAL OF MRS. CORA BERKENBILE AT SYRACUSE
Deceased Was a Well Known Morgan County Citizen
Mrs. Cora Berkenbile, wife of Wm. Berkenbile, living two miles southeast of here, died after a short illness last Wednesday night. She and her husband had both had measles a few weeks previously but both had gotten oven them and were up and around again. Wednesday night after eating supper she became suddenly ill and rapidly got worse until death relieved her suffering a few hours later. Immediate cause of death was diabetes.
Deceased, whose maiden name was Cora Kauffman born Mareh 30, 1873. She was married to Wm. Berkenbile in Sept. 1892. To this union seven children were born, 4 girls and 3 boys, all of whom, with their father, survive her. The children are: Lewis, John and Leroy, Mrs. Austin Lewis, Mrs. Ernest Freidrich, Mary and Cora Berkenbile.
The funeral was conducted at Syracuse Baptist church, of which the deceased was a member, Thursday afternoon by Rev. J. B. Bomar, of Tipton. Interment was in the Syracuse cemetery."
