Mrs. William A. Smith

Funeral services for Mrs. William A. (Betty A.) Smith, 68, were held at 2 p.m. June 26 at Rose-Neath's Funeral Homer Chapel with the Rev. Charles Harlon and the Rev. Bentley L. Masingill officiating.

Burial was held at Arlington Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith died June 24 at Homer Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.

She was a registered nurse at hospitals and nursing homes, a member of the Trinity Southern Methodist Church, members of the Louisiana Nursing and American Nursing Associations, the American Diabetes Association and Ruple Homemakers Club.

She was preceded in death by granddaughters Lindsey and Nicole Smith.

Survivors include her husband, William Albert Smith of Homer; two sons and daughters-in-law, William Alan and Donna Smith and Warren Arthur and Betty Smith, all of Homer; four grandchildren, Any, Ashley, Wayne and Andrew Smith, all of Homer, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Bill Copeland, Robert McGaha, Gary Smith, Mark Poss, Jeffrey Huffstetler and Joe Freeman.

Memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Village or the American Diabetes Association.
