Edith Sizemore, 81, of Corbin, passed away Thursday morning, April 17, 2008, in Hamilton, Ohio. Born in Clay County on Sept. 10, 1926 to the late Roy and Sara Gabbard, she was a gentle, kind lady throughout her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Noah Sizemore and daughter Gwyn Sizemore.
She leaves behind her children: Roy (Linda) Sizemore of London, Judy (Charles) Thomas of Fairfield, Ohio, Artis (William) Born of Corbin, Gayle (Kelly) McQueen, Fairfield, Ohio, Debbie (Randy) Rogers of Corbin, and Rodney (Missy) Sizemore of Corbin; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Dillard Gabbard; other relatives and many friends, all to mourn her passing.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 20, 2008, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Lewis, Rev. Jerry Loudermilk, and Rev. Billy Evans officiating. Burial followed in Cumberland Memorial Gardens with grandsons serving as casket bearers. Hart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
