VIDAL, Helen Frances Miller, Born April 3, 1917 in Ogden, Utah. Died June 2, 2007 in Tucson, AZ. Helen's parents were immigrants from Ireland and Germany. She grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada where her father worked for Union Pacific Railroad. During WWII she met and married Max Vidal (who preceded her in death) and in 1949, they moved to Tucson, and never left. Helen is survived by two loving daughters, Maryann Pearson (Paul) of Mill Valley, CA. and Sally Hineman (Pete) of Avondale, AZ; and her grandson, Jay Hineman of Lexington, Kentucky. Sally and Maryann treasure their mother's loving generosity to humans and animals. She was "mom" to scores of orphan cats through the years. Helen is also survived by sisters-in-law, Jackie "Bernard" Vidal, and Selma Stone (Cal), both of Tucson; nephews, Geoff Lytle and Chris Lytle; sons of her much loved sister, Rosemary (deceased). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Francie Riley (Pat), Joan Franks (Nick), Guy Stone (Mary Lou), Andrew Stone, Paula Oswalt, Jackie Nangle (Pat) and Jeff Stone of the Stone family and many grand nieces and nephews who she treasured. And, her current brood of cat orphans, Pixie, Boots, Snookie and Gracie, who miss her a lot. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 7, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway, 520-296-7193. A memorial Mass will be offered at 9:00 a.m., Friday, June 8, at St. Joseph Church, 215 S. Craycroft with a reception following in the Church hall. The family requests donations to Odyssey Hospice, 750 E. Foothills Dr., Tucson, 85718 in lieu of flowers.
