Martha "Margie" (Leslie) Moore, 88, wife of Rev. Fred W. Moore, died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at her residence.

Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late William and Minnie (Cothran) Leslie.

A homemaker, Mrs. Moore was a member of Praise Cathedral Church of God. Rev. and Mrs. Moore founded Assembly of God Tabernacle, Westside Assembly of God and Gospel Missions Church.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of 71 years, are three daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy C. and the late Robert W. Cason of Belton, Shirley S. and Robert L. Ellis of Taylors, Genevieve and David Cooper Sr. of Greenville; a sister, Avenelle Chandler of Greenville; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a special family friend, Chuck Ward.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Sandra Lea Johnson and Linda Gayle Alwine; and a son, Gerald Fred Moore.

Visitation was held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.

Funeral services were at Praise Cathedral Church of God. Burial followed in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Greer.
