Born in Wallingford, January 1, 1922, the daughter of the late, Peter and Olga (Harasimchik) Trofimchik, she had been the housekeeper at St. Barnabas Rectory in North Haven for many years, and previously had been a hostess at the Yankee Silversmith Inn, and director of housekeeping at the former Yale Motor Inn, in Wallingford. She was a member of the American Legion Siedlicki Post No. 187 Women's Auxiliary.
She is survived by a son, Gregory Wasko; four grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nieces, several nephews, several grandnephews, several great grandnieces, and a great grandnephew. She was predeceased by three sisters, Anna Cooney, Marie Docherty, and Olga "Dolly" Simmons; and a brother, Kuster Trofimchik; a beloved nephew, Joseph P. Sabith; and a niece, Vera Trofimchik.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Thursday, from The Wallingford Funeral Home, when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
