MADISON-Sara J. Stout, age 94, died on Friday, November 3, 1989, at a local nursing home, after a brief illness. Born in Ord, Nebraska, the youngest of 13 children, she was the last to survive. She was the former Sara J. Aldrich, and married Rex A. Burdick, who preceded her in death. She was later married to Harry W. Stout , who died in 1975.

Sara was a professional business woman, who operated Merle Norman Cosmetic Studios, in Madison on the square, as well as in Janesville and Milwaukee. She was a member at the Bethel Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Revererend Bette Burdick Buffa, pastoring in New York City, her husband Elliot G. Buffa, retired; a grandson, Reverend Mark E. Buffa, of Knoxville, Tennessee; a granddaughter, Laura Ahmed, of Brooklyn, New York; and a great granddaughter, Laila Ahmed.

Funeral services will be held at the CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 6, 1989, with the Reverend Kathleen Panning officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 5.
