Berlin-David B. Baldwin, 71, of Peach Hill Rd., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 9, 2012 after a brief illness. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Beverley (Cann) Baldwin; a son, David B. Baldwin, Jr. of Berlin; three daughters, Kristine Bothwell and husband Terry of Hudson; Jennifer Spellman and husband John of Lancaster; Sara Rizzuto and husband Edward of West Boylston; 10 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, several siblings, nieces and nephews.
David was born in Greenfield to the late Charles and Sylvia (Johnson) Baldwin. Following studies, he enlisted to proudly serve our nation in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Upon his return home, Dave began his life long career in construction and excavation as a self-employed contractor for more than 30 years. He took great pleasure in gardening while tending to his greenhouses and most enjoyed time spent in the company of his family. A graveside service will be held at 10AM on Thursday, July 12, 2012 in the North Cemetery, Highland St., Berlin.
