Dale "Sonny" Collins, 66, Anderson, passed away June 20, 2013 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after an extended illness. He was born December 7, 1946 in Anderson and graduated from Anderson High School. He resided in Anderson all of his life, served in the US Army and worked for Delco Remy. Dale loved sports. Besides watching and playing, he coached several area boys and girls softball, baseball and basketball teams, including teams in the Erskine Little League and the Optimist Club League. He also enjoyed being with his grandchildren and sister. He is survived by his daughters, Misty (Joe) Williams of Indianapolis, Amy (Russ) Doyle of Columbus and Emily Collins of Anderson; grandchildren, Alexis Williams, Joseph Williams, Jr., Chrissy Doyle, Mason Doyle, Asia Fisher and Travis Fisher, Jr.; sisters, Evelyn (Kenny) Holland and Linda Spicer, all of Anderson; sisters-in-law, Sally Collins of Tipton and Merleana Collins of Anderson; friend and caregiver, Rose King; close friends, Johnny Wallace, the Ron Clark Family, the Dorothy Brewer Family, Becky Brown; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Sylvia (Balser) Collins; first wife, Christy (Clark) Collins; and brothers, Bill and Pat Collins.
