Mrs. Edelen's funeral: At the request of her family & the Pastor Fr. Gardiner, attended funeral & preached over the remains of Mrs. Richard H. Edelen at St. Thomas Church (probably Croome) on Thursday, May 4th. Mrs. Edelen's remains had been placed in a vault in Washington (she died during the great blizzard and could not be removed from Washington) and was brought down and buried beside her husband on the first anniversary of the latter's death. A very large crowd was present.
