Dickinson

Mr. Lorenso D. Bacon, died April 28, 188(?). He was born in Waybridge, Vt., Dec 17, 1819. He was first connected with the M.E. church, but soon after on account of the position that the church took on question of slavary he withdrew from that body and joined the Wesleyan Methodist. he was afterward a regular attendant at the Free Baptist church, in Dickinson, to which place he had moved, and within a few years, his religious views however changed, he was united with the Seventh Day Advantists, at Bangor, Dr. Bacon was a quiet man, a kind husband and father, a good citizen, and a conscientious Christian. His health had been failing for about three years, and he has been confined to the house some three months.

He leaves a wife and three children to mourn his loss. Funeral services were held at the home of the family, and a sermon preached by Rev. A. Deering, from 2nd Timothy, 4-6 "I am now ready to be offered up."
