Pansy & Ken Farris were "Page Pioneers", who helped birth "America's Last Frontier" -- Page, Arizona, moving there in 1957-1958 through 1982.

Pansy & Ken Farris were pictured on Page 7 in the June 12, 1969 LAKE POWELL CHRONICLE with Lucille Ball, who had come to Page to film two segments of her "Here's Lucy" TV show. Lucy's children, Desi Arnaz, Jr. & Lucie Arnaz were with Lucy in Page for about two weeks.

Pansy, who passed away at age 83, was born in Joplin, Missouri. Pansy's parents were Harry (no Harold or middle name) and Alta Leona Phelps Branson.

The family was from Owensville in Gasconade County, Missouri.

When Pansy was born in Joplin, Missouri, it would have been during a brief time when her father worked there.

Pansy married Kenneth Alvin "Ken" Farris (born Oct 5, 1920, in a small prairie town outside Colorado Springs, CO). They had three children: Linda, Steven Eric "Steve" Farris (1946 - 1959); and David.

Pansy and Ken were predeceased by their son, Steve, who was hit by a car just shy of his fifth birthday as he attempted to cross the street for ice cream between two parked cars with his sister, Linda (age 9), who was also hit but survived. Their youngest son, Dave (b. Oct 9, 1952), and his wife, Deb, named their son (Pansy's grandson) Steven "Steve" after Dave's older brother.

Pansy owned and operated Pansy's Fashion and Fabric in Page, Arizona, until shortly before her husband retired from Arizona Public Service in 1982 in Page, and they moved to Lake Montezuma, AZ. Ken started with APS in Casa Grande, AZ, in 1950, quit in 1952 for a year and moved to OR before returning to his job in Casa Grande, AZ, in 1953 and transferring to Page, AZ, as their Area Rep in 1957 or 1958.
