Earl B. Marney, 74, of 86 South Park Terrace, Agawam, died at Wesson Memorial Hospital Monday. He was born July 5, 1895 in Amherst, Nova Scotia. Up until the time of his retirement, 10 years ago, he was employed by Westinghouse as a pattern makers. He was a member of the Agawam Baptist Church, the Samuel Sherwood Masonic Lodge and the Retired Men's Group of Trinity Church in Springfield. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Beatrice (Dunscombe) Marney; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Jean Crosby of Springfield and Mrs. William Hay of Towanda, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Helen Stiles of Hallowell, Me. and five brothers, Ross Marney of Quincy, Vaughn Marney of Old Orchard Beach, Me., Girvan and Ralph Marney, of Hamilton, Ontario and Claude of Amherst, Nova Scotia. A Masonic service will be held Thursday evening at the Agawam funeral home, 184 Main Street. Funeral will be held at Agawam Baptist Church. Burial will be in Agawam Central Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Agawam Memorial Baptist Fund.
