Kenneth C. King, 55, of Island Creek, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at Pikeville Methodist Hospital.

He was born in Pike County, Feb. 19, 1947, a son of the late
Ferrell and Viola Hamilton King.

He was disabled, formerly employed by Southern Energy Mobile
Home Company, was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Cowpen Freewill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ira King and Frank King.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sue Fields King; one daughter, Tiffeny King Isaac of Lexington; five brothers, Monroe King, Wilburn King and David King, all of Pikeville, Tom King of Grayson, Leo King of Paintsville; and four sisters, Ethel King Stanley of Pontiac, Mich., June King May of Somerset, Gladys King Blankenship of Pikeville, and Magdaline King Conley of Huntington, Ind.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, in the
Cowpen Freewill Baptist Church with Mickey King and Robert Smith officiating. Burial followed in the King Family Cemetery at Miller's Creek. Arrangements were under direction of Lucas & Hall Funeral Home of Pikeville.

Military graveside services were conducted by DAV Chapter 166, Johns Creek.
