Walter W. Martinez, 69, of Phoenix went to rest with our Lord on Dec. 22, 2006. He was born in Cibolo, Texas, on March, 28, 1937. Walter was a retired member of the Pipeliners Union 798 with 30 years of service. He is survived by his mother, Beatrice; his wife, Grace; six children: Walter, Jr., Anna, Huram, Heber, Dominique and John; three brothers: Henry, Julio and Robert, and four sisters: Annie, Lydia, Lucy and Rosie. He also had 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 28, from 5-8 pm with the Rosary starting at 7pm at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd. Mass will be held on Friday, Dec. 29, at St. Simon and Jude Cathedral, 6351 N. 27th Ave, Phx. with the burial following at St. Francis Cemetery.
